8/31/2015: Sad news about the passing of Don Kjelleren, the president of the Vermont Senior Games Association until this year.

“It is with a heavy heart that I write tonight to let you know that Don Kjelleren passed away last night after his 5 month battle with kidney cancer. I spoke with his wife, Lorelei, and she and their grandson were with him when he passed peacefully just before midnight. His funeral will be held this Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Shelburne Methodist Church and calling hours will be held the evening before from 5:30-7:00 pm at the funeral home in Shelburne. Complete details will be included in the obituary later this week. May our friend Don rest in peace, he sure made an impact during his five years living in Vermont. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with someone so passionate about motivating older adults to be active and enjoy the fun, fitness, & fellowship of senior games.”
